YANGON A fleet of Pakistani naval vessels is due to arrive at Yangon's port ahead of a visit next week by Pakistan's military ruler General Pervez Musharraf, in a sign of closer military ties between the two countries, Reuters reported. Musharraf's visit from May 1 to 3 will be the first official visit by a senior Pakistani leader to Myanmar since 1985. He will also be the first leader of a country outside China and the Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN) to visit since Myanmar's current military government took power in 1988.
